Around these two months, March & September, the SUN is directly behind the satellite and the noise level is much higher than the TV Signal level. This causes service outage to TV (Sun Outage usually distorts TV signals).
Digicel Play viewers will experience the following:
- Sparkles in the first days of the sun outage time frame that may gradually deteriorate to the point of total outage;
- Blocks or freeze frames in the picture before and after peak times, or;
- No channels showing at all (No Signal – error).
This will affect the receiving signal at our Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) Transmission sites thus affecting our Direct To Home (DTH) customers. Viewers will experience a momentary loss of all channels.
